This 2-year project is implemented in cooperation with the CEELI Institute. The main goal is to improve democratic standards and the rule of law in Burma/Myanmar. It seeks to empower and train independent lawyers in Burma/Myanmar who provide pro bono support and to increase the awareness of Burmese people about the legal system. It also seeks to support Burmese members of parliament so that they can more efficiently promote the required legal changes.
