Burma and the Czech Republic (then time Czechoslovakia) shared many common traits. Starting from the exchange of students and scholars, over economic cooperation and the support of the democracy movement, both histories are much more connected than the distance of these countries makes us assume.

The Burma Center Prague is a non-profit and non-governmental organization based in the Czech Republic. Our goal is to restore peace, justice, democracy and human rights in Burma and to support and empower Burmese refugees.
