Celebrating the birthday of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi on 19 June 2006

-"Arrest yourself" - everyone was invited to stay at home for 24 hours to show their respect for the leader of the Burmese democracy movement, the Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Daw Aung San Suu Kyi. Since she commenced her struggle, she has spent most of her time under arrest in forced isolation.
With "Arrest yourself", we followed up on last year's celebration of her 60th birthday by the Burmese Community in Prague, letting the Czech Republic take part in a worldwide set of events. Members of the Burmese community in the Czech Republic joined us once again.
